Meeting Indian organizations working to halt forced and bonded labour
In 2018, SAN led a project to improve the detection of forced labour in agricultural supply chains. As part of an ISEAL Innovations Fund Grant, we met with key Indian organisations to understand more about their work and approach to forced and bonded labour in India.
Now we want to share a short document with the findings of our engagement with these organizations that not only know the reality first-hand but are working hard to change it. The following profiles and information provide an overview of the organisations, their work and the key messages that are relevant to sustainability community and for agribusiness with Indian sourcing origins.
At SAN we believe that positive changes require strong networks and joint efforts, that is we hope to find more projects and ways to continue working with these and many other organizations in India and other countries.
