Mona McCord
Program Services Director
Mona McCord is SAN’s Program Services Director since July 2022, previously SAN’s Technical and Development Director since December 2020. She has over twenty years of management and administration experience, including fifteen years developing and implementing agricultural livelihoods and food security programs supporting rural households in Ghana, Mali, Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Indonesia, and Kyrgyzstan.
Mona leads the SAN Technical Team (Projects Management, and Innovation & Knowledge Units) and coordinates business development and donor relationship management efforts.
Mona has relevant academic training in agricultural and resource economics, including a Master of Science (MS) in International Agricultural Development from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from Washington State University, focusing on international business and economics.
Prior to SAN, Mona was the Director, Agriculture Innovations at Grameen Foundation. During her tenure at Grameen Foundation, she also held the position of Senior Manager of Institutional Relations. In these roles, she worked closely with program colleagues to identify, develop, and manage relationships and secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
Mona is a committed international development professional who is a native English speaker. She is also proficient in French and learning Spanish. She is be based in Davis, California.
