Global Nature Fund (GNF)

Mission Statement

Through worldwide nature and environmental protection projects, the Global Nature Fund (GNF) is committed to sustainable global development within planetary boundaries. For a healthy planet and intact biodiversity as the basis of life – for people, for nature, everywhere.

Work Scope

To achieve its mission, GNF focuses mainly on four thematic and project areas:

  • Living lakes and water

  • Sustainable development and international development cooperation

  • Nature conservation

  • Business and biodiversity

The latter entails supporting companies to make biodiversity a measurable component of their corporate strategy, by facilitating the integration of biodiversity, ecosystems and environmental responsibility to comply with their legal requirements, adhere to voluntary standards that can add value and attract investors, and meet societal expectations.

GNF also undertakes this endeavor under the conviction that many agricultural companies see the value of their contribution to biodiversity conservation, given that this establishes the essential basis for the long-term sustainability of their business operations.
