José Joaquín Campos Arce

José is SAN’s CEO with 40 years of international experience in sustainable forestry, agriculture, and natural resources management. He previously served as Director General of CATIE and on boards including CIFOR (chair), ICRAF, and IUFRO, and advised the World Bank and IDB. He holds a D.Phil. in forestry (Oxford), an M.Sc. (CATIE/UCR), and a B.Sc. (University of São Paulo), with 100+ publications.
