The Sustainable Agriculture Network brings together members who share knowledge, create solutions, and drive agriculture toward resilience, equity, and regeneration. Their work embodies SAN’s value propositions: advancing climate-smart solutions, promoting nature-based approaches, empowering inclusive communities, and building collaborative platforms for systemic impact. Climate-Smart and Regenerative Solutions 🌍
CABI published a series of insights on biocontrols and biopesticides, highlighting how beneficial insects protect crops while reducing chemical use. They also presented augmentative biocontrol as an approach to strengthen natural pest defenses and highlighted the power of reliable data to tackle crop loss in Kenya and Ethiopia.

CORAF stressed the importance of climate-smart agriculture in adapting to climate change by sharing progress from the AICCRA and CAADPXP4 projects, which are equipping institutions in West and Central Africa to prepare for climate risks. They also prepared more people with Monitoring and Evaluation capabilities as part of the RADiUS project.
Preferred by Nature advanced regenerative agriculture with the launch of its science-based Regenerative Agriculture Assessment Tool, designed to provide measurable and verifiable results for companies and producers.
Nature-Based Solutions and Biodiversity 🌱
Fundación Natura Colombia entered into a partnership with JetSmart Airlines to strengthen biodiversity conservation efforts and shared its 2024 Report. Pelum Uganda emphasized the importance of indigenous seeds for biodiversity and food security through a national radio talk show, while Fundación Global Nature marked the entry into force of the EU’s Nature Restoration Act, the first legislation designed to bring European ecosystems back to life.
Social Equity and Inclusion 👩🏾🌾
Fundación Pachamama trained Indigenous youth through its Climate Negotiation School, preparing them to advocate at the V Amazonian Presidents’ Summit. Its Pacha Emprende program supported bioentrepreneurs with hands-on learning and business development skills.

Cotton Connect explained how they tackled water challenges by highlighting groundwater depletion and promoting community-driven water management solutions, and REEDS Pakistan celebrated its contributions to nutrition, community health, and empowerment during SUNCSA Pakistan’s Annual General Meeting, underscoring its commitment to equity in agricultural development.
Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and Collaborative Impact 🌐
The Circular Bioeconomy Alliance facilitated high-level dialogues on “Reimagining Nature Finance” during the Harmony Summit, asking how finance could truly serve life. CORAF invited regional stakeholders to the upcoming African Food Systems Forum in Dakar, a key platform for shaping the future of food in Africa.
