Mission Statement
Rural Aid Pakistan works at the grass root level in rural Pakistan to fight against poverty and empower the marginalized and vulnerable rural communities. They strive for inclusive sustainable development without considering gender, race, religion, and disability.
Geographic Scope
Rural Aid works with vulnerable communities in rural Pakistan. Its secretariat is located in Narowal (Punjab).
Work Areas
Rural Aid’s strategic plan for 2022-2025 focuses on chronic issues and quickly changing factors like growing rural livelihoods, enhancement of employment opportunities, accelerating natural resource degradation and climate change. This strategic plan has four priority areas:
Encourage inclusive rural growth leading to economic development and enhancement of employment opportunities.
Increase equitable access to quality social services, including health, education, WASH.
Reduce vulnerabilities to natural disasters, food insecurity and climate change.
Promote good governance and gender justice.
In the agriculture field, Rural Aid is working to empower small farmers and build sustainable, resilient communities, improving livelihoods and food security by building capacities, changing traditional behaviors and agricultural practices. They promote climate smart agriculture and natural resources conservation, including water, air and biodiversity.
Rural Aid’s mission is to empower the marginalized and vulnerable segments of the population through sustainable development solutions. Their activities are community-led, gender and environmentally sensitive, collaborative, and research-based.
