Charles Onyango
Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
Charles Onyango is a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist with over 14 years of progressive experience at the intersection of research, agriculture, and international development. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics. Currently, he is pursuing Climate Change and Adaptation PhD research on carbon markets and climate finance.
Charles most recently served as M&E Lead at SAF-Africa (formerly Syngenta Foundation), where he oversaw performance management and reporting for the Seed2B Africa program. His previous roles include Country Program Coordinator at the World Vegetable Center in Kenya, Senior Research Assistant with the Push-Pull Program at icipe, and Data Analyst at the African Economic Research Consortium, supporting the World Food Programme’s global Purchase for Progress (P4P) initiative.
He brings a strong bias for results-based management, capacity building, and leveraging data for decision-making, with emerging expertise in climate-resilient development and carbon market and financing.
