Manrique Ugalde supports SAN's private sector partnership development initiatives since April 2025. He has more than 35 years of experience within global companies in multiple geographies, industries and functional areas
As Region President, COO and Vice President for companies such as Sysco, Walmart, PriceSmart and Chiquita, he has worked extensively developing strategies and capabilities for different business units and regions, including Retail, Food Service and Agribusiness organizations in Latin America, the Caribbean, the US and Europe. He also serves as Board Director for a regional company in Central America.
He obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago and has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Costa Rica.
