The Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), a global impact network committed to transforming agriculture for a sustainable future, seeks a Director for Monitoring, Evaluation, Knowledge and Communications (MEKC).
Responsibilities:
The MEKC Director will play a pivotal role in advancing SAN's mission by:
Developing and enhancing SAN's monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) system.
Providing technical leadership in designing and implementing evaluation and research plans.
Strengthening the organization's M&E capacities.
Collaborating with project implementation teams to improve performance and evidence-based decision-making.
Leading the development of a knowledge management system.
Supporting the development of learning agendas and results frameworks.
Engaging in strategic planning and evaluation processes.
Compiling and sharing lessons learned.
Building and maintaining a network of professional contacts.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
A preferred Ph.D. or MSc in a development-related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in MEKC data collection and reporting.
Experience in developing comprehensive MEKC plans, including theories of change.
Proficiency in digital data capture and management.
Advanced computer literacy
Fluency in English (native speaker or C1+ minimum)
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Analytical skills and a commitment to advocating for good development practice.
A passion for nature-based solutions to global challenges.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
Experience in the corporate sector.
Fluency in Spanish is considered a plus.
